Gas Lift Mandrels
The position or depth of the gas lift valves is crucial to the efficient operation of the entire system. Therefore, it is imperative to choose a mandrel that is designed and engineered to stand up to a variety of challenging well environments. Our mandrels are produced in an ISO 9001 certified facility, which is licensed API 19G1 & Q1 with V1 status, and are designed to meet or exceed industry standards. Our experienced team in both the manufacture and installation processes ensure that our equipment performs to your exacting expectations in the field. Each and every mandrel is pressure tested and recorded as per our internal quality procedures before leaving our facility. Tubing Retrievable Mandrels
ALTEC can provide a full line of conventional mandrels, designed to incorporate either 1” or 1-1/2” externally/internally mounted gas lift valves. Depending upon the desired application, we can supply a variety of internal/external coating options, the threading of your choice, and can be manufactured to match your tubing size.
In a well completion, a side-pocket mandrel design benefits gas-lift applications. In a side-pocket mandrel design, the valve configuration is offset from the production flow path. For deviated wells, select designs feature an internally-mounted orienting sleeve (located in the top mandrel swedge) which allows slick-line to selectively locate mandrel pockets and align the kickover tool for valve installation/retrieval. ALTEC offers mandrels in multiple configurations available in 2-3/8 inch through 7-inch tubing, featuring 1 inch and 1-1/2 inch inside diameter pocket profiles. The mandrels are designed and engineered in a variety of materials conforming to ASTM standards such as AISI 4130, 9Cr-1Mo, 13Cr, Inconel 718 and Incoloy 925 alloys. All mandrels are welded in accordance with ASME and are drifted and pressure tested to meet the design specification.
Our round solid body design can be used to run in high-pressure well applications and deepwater completions. The configuration can be custom designed with protective rails or milled slots for cable and control line bypass applications.
